After President Joe Biden’s debate performance was panned, the Associated Press article The headline seemed to be, “Biden, 81: Alert and focused, but sometimes confused and forgetful.”
The outlet appears to have edited the headline by adding the word “often.” It now reads, “Biden, 81: Often sharp and focused, but also confused and forgetful.”
“It’s not satire.”
In response to the AP post about X, which included the headline above, Leon Wolf of Blaze Media wrote: Tweeted“There’s no way he actually tweeted this instant meme.”

“He is usually alert and focused. But there are moments, especially late at night, when his thoughts become jumbled, he stops mid-sentence and seems confused. He sometimes doesn’t understand the finer points of policy details. He forgets people’s names, has blank stares and paces slowly around the room,” the Associated Press article said.
The 81-year-old president’s poor performance in last week’s presidential debate has sparked a political frenzy, with some Democrats suggesting he should withdraw and some Republicans calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
But Biden has said he has no plans to back down. “I’m not backing down. I’m going to fight this campaign to the end, and we’re going to win,” he was reported as saying in a conference call with campaign staff. AP.
