Tech Giant Apple is investing $500 billion in the US economy in a historic move, the company announced Monday, documenting “an extraordinary new chapter in the history of American innovation.”

Large investments will begin in the next five years. This commitment includes the construction of an advanced AI server manufacturing plant near Houston, Texas, and an increase of $5 billion to $10 billion in the company's advanced manufacturing fund.
Additionally, Tech Titan will establish Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit, Michigan. This includes hiring 20,000 new employees in research and development silicon engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
“This new pledge is based on Apple's long history of investing in American innovation and highly skilled manufacturing, focusing on artificial intelligence, silicon engineering and skill development for students and workers across the country. We support a wide range of initiatives,” the company said in a statement.
Additionally, Apple says it plans to expand its teams and facilities in many states, including California, Arizona, Texas, Michigan, Nevada, Iowa, Oregon, North Carolina and Washington. Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a statement that his company is “busy about the future of American innovation.”
“We are proud to be able to build on years of US investment with this $500 billion commitment to our country's future,” his statement added. “We are excited to expand our support for American manufacturing, from doubling our advanced manufacturing funds to building advanced technology in Texas.”
“And we will continue to work with people and businesses in this country to help us write extraordinary new chapters in the history of American innovation.”
The major announcement will be made just two days later in 47 yearsth President Donald Trump hinted at the company's plans, saying the tech giant is planning to invest “thousands of billions of dollars” in the United States.
He also said the company was switching manufacturing from Mexico to the US last week.
“Yesterday, I had Tim Cook in my office from Apple, and he's investing hundreds of billions of dollars,” Trump said at a White House gathering on Friday. “That's what he told me. Now he has to do that.”
