apple revealed today Users reportedly earned more than $1 billion in Daily Cash last year by spending with Apple Card. The technology giant also announced that the number of Apple Card users has exceeded 12 million. Apple Card was first launched in 2019 and is only available in the US.
The company also revealed that approximately 30% of Apple Card customers make two or more payments per month. Additionally, more than 1 million users share cards through Family Sharing, and nearly 600,000 users establish equal credit with a spouse, partner, or other adult.
“We designed Apple Card with our users’ financial health in mind, and we’ve seen more than 12 million customers take advantage of its features to make healthier financial decisions. It’s rewarding,” said Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet. “We’re proud of what we’ve been able to bring to Apple Card customers in just five years. Looking to the year ahead and beyond, we’re excited about the innovations and innovations to the award-winning Apple Card experience. We’re excited to continue investing and delivering more tools and features to help our users live healthier financial lives.”
Last April, Apple launched the Apple Card high-yield savings account offered by Goldman Sachs, and within a few months, deposits had exceeded $10 billion. Apple says the majority of users now automatically deposit Daily Cash into Savings, and nearly two-thirds of users deposit additional funds from linked banks. Currently, Savings is offering his APY (Annual Percentage Yield) as high as 4.50%. When he opened the savings account, his APY was 4.15%.
