Legendary quarterback Arch Manning will officially become the starter for the Texas Longhorns in their game against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.
Arch, the quiet nephew of two-time Super Bowl champions Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, is set to take the helm at the team despite being just a sophomore.
Manning will fill in for star junior Quinn Ewers, who was sidelined last week with an abdominal injury.
Manning has already thrown five touchdown passes in his limited playing time in 2024, and has completed an astonishing 14 of 18 passes, meaning he's thrown a touchdown pass about once every three attempts. The 19-year-old already has one of the most valuable name, image and likeness of any college-level athlete in the nation, despite barely seeing the field.

He is ranked No. 4 in the country by college NIL tracker On3 and is valued at $3.1 millionInterestingly, he's one spot above the aforementioned Ewers (valued at $2.2 million).
Manning has been very careful about his brand and persona and has rarely commented publicly, but that may be changing now that he's the Texans' starting quarterback.
