If it’s in the game, it’s in the game. Archie Manning is also in attendance..
The University of Texas quarterback will be included in EA Sports College Football 25, the video game’s return after an 11-year hiatus, following multiple reports in March that he would not be included.
Manning announced his decision in a video posted to his social media accounts that showed a Longhorns reserve player holding a controller and scoring a touchdown into the back of the end zone while his uncle, Giants legend Eli Manning, called the play from the seat.
“Touchdown, that’s why you’re in this game!” the two-time Super Bowl champion told his nephew.
“EA Sports, I’m in the game,” Arch said at the end, making a “Hook ‘Em Horns” gesture.
The ad was a big deal for the sports video game company, which paid Manning between $50,000 and $60,000 to promote College Football 25, according to ON3.
Though Manning will play in virtual games, the University of Texas sophomore likely won’t see the field much during the 2024 season.
Quarterback Quinn Ewers, who led Texas to the College Football Playoff last year, announced in January he would return to Austin for one more season.
This puts Manning, a highly-touted five-star recruit out of Isidore Newman School, in a tough situation and will undoubtedly see him sit on the bench for another year.

He made his feelings clear earlier this week, saying that despite the tough times, he feels at home in Texas.
“but [it came down to] I just realized there was no other place I wanted to go, and playing at Texas was always my dream.” Manning told The Athletic..
“I’m going to hang in there until the end and eventually I’ll play there.”
College Football 25 will be released on July 19th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
