President Biden's mood swings seem to be getting a little out of control.
There are moments when the president is quiet, stumbles over himself or his words, and asks the first lady for help. Other times, as in his January 6 speech last weekend, he almost foams at the mouth over threats to “democracy.”
“Today, we gather some 246 years later on the eve of a new year, January 6th, a day that will forever be shared in our memories because it was the day we nearly lost America. ” Biden told the audience.
“Since that day, more than 1,200 people have been charged with assault at the Capitol,” Biden continued.
“To date, they have been sentenced to a total of more than 840 years in prison.”
The audience erupted in applause when Biden attacked Donald Trump, claiming that Trump called them “patriots” rather than “former insurrectionists” or “criminals.”
Glenn Beck points out that Biden's rant is far from accurate.
“No court documents or trials show they were convicted or tried for sedition. None of that,” Glenn says.
“We don't mean to downplay what happened that day, but as well as this idea that there were 1,200 people who tried to overthrow the government, everything about what actually happened on January 6th… It's so completely insane and exaggerated that it loses its context,” Stu said. Bruguiere agrees.
