Ariana Grande looked strikingly frail in a number of recent high-profile events, but the press is praising her appearance.
The internet is flooded with media releases that center around the famous singer’s fashion choices at the 2025 BAFTA Awards and the Golden Globes, but it’s shockingly ignorant of the publications to discuss what she’s wearing without addressing her tiny frame. Grande is visibly frail and appears to be morbidly unhealthy, yet somehow the clothes she’s throwing on her bones are getting all the attention in the artificial world of Hollywood news.

Is it really pretty to be wasting away in front of our eyes? Hollywood has this all wrong and someone needs to talk about it.
Grande has looked downright frail in every photo and social media post I’ve come across for months. The 31-year-old seems to be crying out for help in a childlike, malnourished body, and I’m not tearing her up here. Quite the contrary — I’m wondering why the media is putting the focus on glamorizing her while she’s in this obviously unhealthy state. The endless reports praising the famous singer for her stunning fashion choices and discussing her designer red carpet dresses are not only tone deaf and disturbing, they’re also damaging.

Instead of turning a blind eye to her concerning issues and hailing Grande as some sort of fashionista, the media should be sounding the alarm by expressing concern.
Reports that say she looks great while knowing she is at risk are dangerous on many levels. This is sending a message to Grande that her current state is applauded. The delusional acceptance of her appearance normalizes her image to millions of young fans, and this can easily result in unrealistic, unhealthy body goals. Fans have sounded the alarm on social media, and legacy media needs to report on the issue instead of pushing an unhealthy trend. It’s unclear if Grande’s body is withering away by choice or as the result of illness, but regardless of how she reached this physical state, it’s clearly not a good place to be. It’s about time the conversation shifted to helping her, rather than pretending we don’t see her deteriorating before our eyes.
