Arizona sheriffs knock Kari Lake remarks about GOP challenger

A group of Arizona sheriffs have targeted Republican Senate candidate Kali Lake. Friday’s statement Regarding comments she made about her challengers in a recent online forum.

“We want to be clear: Sheriff Mark Lamb is not a coward, nor are the law enforcement officers who wear the badge and uniform and put their lives on the line to protect and serve our communities every day,” the statement added.

“Arizona voters have high expectations of their political candidates, especially when it comes to running for U.S. Senate.”

At a candidates forum last month, Lake, who has promoted the false claim that former President Trump won the 2020 election, pointed out his differences with Lamb.

“My opponents for Congress have said there was no fraud in the 2020 election,” Lake said, adding that he also said in a recent Univision interview that there was no fraud in that election in Arizona.

“I’m sure everyone on this call from Arizona is tired of hearing that,” she added.

Lake ran for governor of the Grand Canyon State in 2022 but narrowly lost to incumbent Gov. Katie Hobbs (D). He has not only questioned President Biden’s victory in the state in 2020, but also the results of his own election two years ago, though courts have rejected his legal challenges.

“The election is poorly run. It’s very poorly run, and we don’t know exactly who stole the election, but there are a lot of people who are poorly running it and we’re seeing the results,” Lake said.
