A group of armed men approached a 53-year-old woman sitting in her car in a Walmart parking lot in Auburn, Washington, on Tuesday and demanded her property. KCPQ-TV reported.Auburn is located about 30 minutes south of Seattle.
The problem is, the woman was also armed, and the sheriff’s office said she fired shots at the suspects.
“Always carry one. The law says if you are confronted with a gun you may use the same force. And remember, shoot once, shoot to kill.”
The suspects returned fire, injuring the woman, according to KCPQ.
Police arrived on the scene around 3:30 a.m. and treated the victim at the scene for a single gunshot wound, police said, adding that the victim is expected to be OK.
KCPQ said police employed a police dog to track the suspect, who was later found and taken into custody. news release Both suspects are male, aged 19 and 21.
The department said additional information is limited at this time, and police did not provide any further details about the suspect in their news release.
