Armie Hammer has been forced to downsize and change his lavish lifestyle.
The Lone Ranger star claimed he couldn't afford gas since returning to Los Angeles and revealed he had to trade in his truck.
“I moved back to LA a few weeks ago. This is my truck. I bought it as a Christmas gift to myself in 2017 because I'd been driving pickup trucks for a long time and I loved this truck,” Hammer explained in an Instagram video.

Hammer, 38, added that he takes good care of his cars and has taken many “transcontinental” road trips in his black pick-up truck, as well as several camping trips.
And he admitted he was going to take one final trip in his car, to the car dealership CarMax.
“Since I came back to L.A., I've put $400-$500 worth of gas in it, and I can't pay for it anymore. I can't pay for gas anymore.”
“This is not an advertisement for CarMax,” Hammer said while filming the video in the company's parking lot. “This is me selling my own trucks.”

Hammer continued that he was hesitant to sell the car because it had created special memories over the years, including taking his children home from the hospital and other “amazing trips.”
“But it's OK,” he said. “It's OK. I got a new car. It's small. It's a hybrid. I probably only put about $10 a month in gas, and that's it.”
The “Social Network” actor then panned the camera to show the items inside the truck that had to be cleared out before it could be sold, including a bundle of rope, pill bottles and gum packets.

Hammer also said his decision to sell the car was linked to his 38th birthday, which was on August 28.
“I'm celebrating my birthday with a new car, a new apartment and a new life in Los Angeles.”
In the lengthy video, he appears emotional about parting ways with his beloved pickup truck, adding that his kids have made so many memories with it that he's “not happy” with the decision to sell the vehicle.

After multiple women came forward claiming that Hammer was a “flesh-eater” and had sexually abused them, he revealed he had experienced an “ego death,” “career death” and “financial death.”
Hammer explained at the time that he filed for bankruptcy after the sexual abuse allegations came to light in January 2021. He admitted to Bill Maher on an episode of the “Club Random” podcast that he had not received any money from the family.
“Someone might look at me and say, 'Yeah, but financially, you're in a situation you've never been in before in your life,'” the actor explained later in the interview, “But I look at that and say, 'Yeah, and what I've learned from this experience is that I don't need any of that, because I've never been happier in my life.'”

Multiple women have accused Hammer of sharing sexual fantasies involving cannibalism. The first accusations came from an anonymous Instagram account called “House of Effie.” Unconfirmed screenshots allegedly showed messages Hammer sent to unidentified women detailing BDSM acts and admitting that he was “100% a cannibal.”
The actress' ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, claimed Hammer had a desire to suck and eat her ribs, which she said was “definitely unpleasant.”
At least two other women came forward with similar allegations, and the actor was also accused of rape – all charges Hammer denied at the time.
In 2023, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office announced that Hammer would not face any charges related to the allegations.
