Armie Hammer received an unusual gift from his mother Drew Hammer for his birthday this year.
On his podcast, “Army Hammertime,” she recalled telling her son, “Call Army and say, 'What do you want for your birthday this year?'” He said, “What about money?” And I thought, 'I'm definitely going to give you a vasectomy.' ”
Hammer agreed to see a doctor, and recalled: “He was like, 'Are you sure this is okay?'” I think, “I have two beautiful children and I don't need any more.”
“They try to get you out of it. I'm like, 'You're not going to get me out of this problem, it's over, I'm fine.'”

When I went to the reception desk to discuss payment, I was asked if I would be paying with insurance. He told her, “I haven't had insurance in years.”
“She was like, 'Oh, okay. Are you going to put that on your credit card?' And I said, 'My credit card won't cover this. My mom called you. My mother will have to pay for it.”
When the receptionist looked a little confused, Hammer repeated, “'Yes, my mother gave me this as a birthday present. It was just one of those things… I understand that you are listening to. [thinks]”I've never heard of that…what are you talking about?” So, yeah, my mom got a vasectomy on my birthday. ”
Drew, who referred to herself as a “church lady” throughout the episode, explained the reason behind the gift.

“I'd like to say, 'Okay, Armie, I really hope you don't have sex outside of marriage,' but that doesn't work,” she admitted.
She added: “It's a miracle there aren't a bunch of little hammers running around.”
“I know there are young girls out there who want to have Armie Hammer babies,” Drew added of her idea of gifting her son with a vasectomy.
Army replied, “If I had the money, maybe they would do that.''

Drew said on the podcast that she is confident her son will return.
“I always say, 'My son is not criminally wrong,'” she said. “If you did anything even slightly wrong, like making a rape accusation, they would have nailed you.
“I even called her once. She was like, 'Let me get this straight.' 'Are there any women out there who have lost limbs or ribs?' That's what I want to know as a mother. Once the limbs and ribs are gone, the story is over. ”
