A law enforcement official told The Associated Press that at least one person has been arrested in connection with Matthew Perry’s death.
The charges are expected to be announced at a news conference in Los Angeles later this morning. The officials were not authorized to discuss details of an ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Los Angeles Police Department Officials previously confirmed to Fox News Digital that police are still actively investigating the case.
“Police are currently investigating the death of Matthew Perry,” authorities said.
Los Angeles Police Capt. Scott Williams said in an email that police are working with the DEA and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service to determine why Perry had so much ketamine in his system when he died in October, according to the Associated Press.

Perry’s autopsy, released in December, found traces of ketamine in his stomach and listed his cause of death as “acute effects of ketamine.”

Other medical conditions that may have contributed to his death included “coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphrine,” according to the report. “Prescription medications and pills” were found in the residence.

“Alcohol, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, PCP and fentanyl were all negative,” the autopsy revealed.
“The exact method of ingestion in Mr. Perry’s case is unclear,” the report said.

Although he had last received medical treatment more than a week before his death, the coroner determined that “ketamine has a half-life of less than three to four hours, so any ketamine remaining in his system at the time of his death was not from intravenous therapy.”
No foul play was suspected and no illegal drugs were reportedly found at the scene. To be buried Nov. 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
