Arrested Report Reveals What He Told Police

Pop star Justin Timberlake was reportedly arrested early Tuesday morning in Long Island, New York, and charged with DUI. Police said the “Bye Bye Bye” singer was arrested in the Long Island village of Sag Harbor and charged with DUI before being released without bail.

The pop star’s lawyer, Ed Burke, said: Said US Weekly Timberlake was reportedly charged with “one count of refusing to submit to a breath test.”

“Timberlake was charged with two counts of disregarding a stop sign and failing to stay in the correct lane,” Burke added.

According to the police report, Timberlake, who refused a sobriety test, told officers, “No, I’m not going to take a chemical test. I refuse. I refuse.” Obtained by Daily Mail.

The police report also stated that Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and hollow,” he smelled strongly of alcohol, spoke slowly and was unable to pay attention.

The “What Goes Around… Comes Around” singer was also charged with running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane, and was reportedly banned from driving in New York state for one year. Daily Mail.

Timberlake, who is also headlining the Forget Tomorrow World Tour, was reportedly arrested on Monday night after being seen running a stop sign and crossing the road in his BMW X7 following a night out with friends at the bar at The American Hotel.

“He was drunk,” witness says Said New York Post.

According to the New York Post, the pop star also told arresting officers that he had only had “one martini.”

Timberlake is reportedly scheduled to appear in court on July 26th, which could disrupt the singer’s “Forget Tomorrow” world tour as he is scheduled to perform a concert in Poland on the same day.

It is unclear whether one of the pop star’s lawyers will be able to appear in court on his behalf.

“On June 18, 2024 at 12:37 a.m., Justin R. Timberlake, age 43, of Tennessee, was observed driving a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Avenue, failing to stop at the required stop sign and failing to maintain in his lane of travel,” the Sag Harbor Police Department said in a statement.

“Officers from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department conducted a traffic stop and, after an investigation, it was determined that Timberlake was operating a vehicle while intoxicated,” the department continued.

Sag Harbor police added that the “Sexy Back” singer was “arraigned and, following processing, held overnight for arraignment in the morning,” and that he was “arraigned on June 18, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in Sag Harbor Village Court and released on bail.”

This appears to be Timberlake’s first arrest.
