The Rangers forwarded MSG with Artemi Panarin, the company that owns the team, and paid a financial settlement to employees of the female team in August last year after Panarin claimed she sexually assaulted her in a hotel room in 2023. According to Athletics.
Women who were not identified in the report have reached an agreement between Panarin and MSG Sports. This included not including non-disclosure and unauthorized hospitalization, and left the company.
A spokesman for MSG posted, “The problem has been resolved.”
According to Athletic, the woman also said “the problem has been resolved.”
Two team sources told the outlet that during a road trip for the Rangers, an attack allegedly took place in December 2023.
She claims that Panarin made a call during the post-match gathering and he says he will only return it if she comes to his hotel room.
When she got there, she claimed that Panarin had pinned her to the bed before pushing him away, calling her to leave.
On Wednesday, the Rangers announced that Panarin has been named MVP for the team for the 2024-25 season.
According to Athletic, the league and rangers refused to say whether Panarin was disciplined about the situation.

The NHL said in an email that “the club retained an external law firm to conduct an independent investigation, which was fully acknowledged by the league. We believe the issue is closed.”
There is no record of a woman reporting the incident to law enforcement, and she did not immediately warn the team.
According to team sources, the female employee felt she was being treated unfairly and then she notified the team about the alleged attack.
In February 2021, Panarin left the team for personal reasons after reporting that Russian newspapers claimed they were involved in a physical altercation with a Latvian woman that year.
The Ranger denied the allegations at the time, calling them the “blackmail tactics” used against him in response to his comments on Russian politics.
Panalyn and his agents did not respond to athletics due to requests for comment.
