As America teeters, sitting out isn’t an option for believers

Some pastors and evangelical leaders are reminding true believers that no matter what happens in November or who is elected president, Christians are a people of heaven and that God truly “ He advises them to be reassured, saying, “I will protect you.'' This country may end up in hell, but we're headed for better sooner or later.

That's fine up to a point.

Pray that God will continue to work miracles and use each of us personally and corporately “for times like these.”

If one party remains in power for another four years, what will happen to the people here and around the world who will continue to suffer under harmful and reckless policies? Whether you are a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, or atheist, you should pay attention to one important issue. It's about wide open borders and how they affect your life and your family.

For more than three years, millions of people have crossed the southern border without being tested. Many violent criminals and gangs labeled as “newcomers” by the current administration are taking advantage of this crisis. These criminals terrorize neighborhoods, organize prostitution rings that involve the sexual exploitation of children, traffic in deadly drugs like fentanyl, and cause chaos in once-peaceful towns across America.

Don't we have a responsibility as citizens of heaven to love our neighbors and do everything in our power to ensure their safety, security, health, and happiness?

The origin of the word “politics” means “urban events.” Didn't Jesus command his disciples then and now to “go into all the world and preach the good news”? Isn't “everything in the world” made up of cities? And isn't this the good news that eternal salvation is available to all who believe in Him? And didn't Jesus prove himself to be God by easing the physical, mental, and spiritual suffering of many helpless people before he rose from the dead?

Therefore, true followers of Jesus cannot use the excuse “I'm not political”. This statement itself expressed a political position, and no matter what happened, for better or for worse, I agreed with it.

St. Paul shared his thoughts and good news at a place called Mars Hill. He was not afraid to mix it up with his contemporary critics and sages.

The apostles challenged the political status quo of the Sanhedrin, the Jewish leaders who had to contend with the Roman rulers.

The report states the following 70% of Christians People who call themselves evangelicals don't vote. How is that possible? With the participation of godly people, wouldn't the whole country be corrected? It seems like a no-brainer.

During Esther's time, in the kingdom ruled by King Xerxes, a man named Haman tried to rain hell and death on the Jews. But Esther risked her life to appeal to the king. Because of her courage, the tide turned against Haman. The gallows he built to kill Jews was used to hang Haman.

There must be an overwhelming number clear To anyone who has even the smallest spark of wisdom that America cannot continue on its current trajectory. Those who follow the living God, a God who truly loves us and is still involved in “city affairs,” must persevere in prayerfully “raising storms in the heavens.”

Pray that God will continue to work miracles and use each of us personally and corporately “for times like these.”

Believe it or not, the deep state and its evil plans can definitely be thwarted. They can't outwit a God they claim doesn't exist.

Our God promises in the Old Testament that he will “hear from heaven, and will forgive our sins and heal our land.” But before God does that, it is up to us to “humble ourselves in prayer, seek the face of God, and turn from our wicked ways.” These marching orders are recorded in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

The question is: Are there enough Christians and Jews left today to meet this grave challenge?
