Ash Cooper, Formerly Joshua Cooper, Sentenced for Killing 12-Year-Old Girl

Ash Cooper, formerly known as Joshua Cooper, 18, pleaded guilty to killing a 12-year-old girl in November 2022 and was sentenced to 15 to 40 years in prison in Pennsylvania.

NBC Philadelphia report The girl who died, Morgan Connors, was shot to death at “Top of the Ridge Trailer Park on Gibson Road in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.”

Cooper came into the spotlight after a friend called him to say he had killed someone in an Instagram chat and needed help disposing of the body. The video chat showed “someone’s feet covered in blood.”

Buck County District Attorney’s Office revealed Cooper allegedly manipulated the lock on his father’s gun safe and obtained the gun used in the murder. he “[replaced] It was the battery that her father had removed to make the combination lock inoperable. ”

philadelphia inquirer Quote Bucks County Court Judge Jeffrey L. Finley commented on Connors’ death: “This is a terrible tragedy and one that no family should ever have to go through.”

Connors’ adoptive father said in a statement: “Parents should never bury their children…The human heart is not designed for that kind of heartbreak.”
