Ashley Biden criticizes claims about her father's mental sharpness: ‘Disrespectful and false’

Ashley Biden Stands Up for Her Father Amid Age Criticism

Ashley Biden, daughter of former President Joe Biden, criticized remarks about her father’s age as “damn, rude and untrue” this past Monday.

In her Instagram post, she shared a beach photo with her parents, expressing gratitude and saying she won’t let the negativity bother her.

“The only cover-up in this family is a beach cover-up,” she quipped.

Ashley defended her father, asserting that he has devoted himself wholeheartedly to his presidential duties, countering allegations about his mental decline during his time in office.

While acknowledging that, yes, he has aged—like everyone—she emphasized, “The stress of the presidency can accelerate that. But he always worked harder than anyone I know.”

Although she didn’t mention Alex Thompson and Jake Tapper’s new book directly, she dismissed its contents as “noise” and “fake news” surrounding Biden.

Ashley Biden described the chatter as “very rude and untrue,” attributing it to those profiting from misinformation. “You get lost in your anonymous sources and fake news,” she remarked.

She also expressed appreciation for the support her family received following the public disclosure of her father’s prostate cancer diagnosis last month.

This statement from Ashley came shortly after her niece Naomi Biden criticized the same book, referring to it in a Twitter post as “political fairy smut.”

Naomi insisted that the book depends on “unknown anonymous sources” that spread selfish and false narratives.

Thompson and Tapper’s publication, entitled “The Original Crime: President Biden’s Decline, Concealment, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” discusses the perceived efforts of Biden’s administration.
