Ashley Biden Defends Her Father Against Age Criticism
Ashley Biden, the daughter of Joe Biden, addressed comments regarding her father’s age in a recent Instagram post, labeling them as “damn, rude and untrue.” In her post, she included a photo of herself with her parents enjoying time at the beach and mentioned feeling grateful rather than angry despite the negativity surrounding them. “The only cover-up of this family is the beach cover-up,” she quipped.
In her defense of her father, Ashley rejected claims about President Biden’s mental decline during his time in office, suggesting that they are unfounded. She expressed admiration for her father’s dedication, pointing out that, yes, he’s aged—but we all do. The pressures of the presidency, she noted, can heighten that stress, yet he continues to work tirelessly. “He works harder than anyone I’ve ever known,” she asserted.
Ashley didn’t mention a specific book but referred to the recent “noise” and “fake news” surrounding her father. “The noise is very rude and untrue… it’s just static generated by those who thrive on it,” she stated, expressing discontent over certain media portrayals.
Moreover, she acknowledged the support her family received following the announcement of President Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis last month.
These remarks follow a similar sentiment expressed a few weeks earlier by her niece, Naomi Biden, who directly criticized a book about the family on social media. In her comments, Naomi described the book as a “political fairy smut” filled with tales driven by “unknown anonymous sources pushing forward selfish false stories.”
The book, titled “Original Crime,” reportedly delves into the administration’s efforts to conceal the president’s challenges regarding his cognitive health.
