At least 17 people were shot, three of them fatally, over the weekend in Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's (D) city.
Breitbart News reported that at least 12 people were shot between Friday and Saturday alone, with one shooting victim dying from his injuries.
ABC7 noticed By Sunday night, the number of shooting victims in the city had reached at least 17, with two more fatally shot.
One of the additional shootings occurred Saturday around 7 p.m. in the “100 block of West 125th Street.” A man of unknown age was shot in the neck and died at the scene.
Just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a 36-year-old man was found lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds in the 3600 block of East 100th Street. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
