At Least 2 Officers Shot in Heavily Gun-Controlled New York

Shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday, a Syracuse police officer and an Onondaga County sheriff’s deputy were shot in Salina, New York.

Salina is a suburb of Syracuse, New York.

syracuse.com report “Officers were called at 8:51 p.m.” The shooting is believed to have occurred in connection with a residence at 4945 Darien Street.

WYBW pointed There was a large police presence near the house, including a police helicopter flying overhead.

WSVR I got it. The officers “suffered serious injuries.”

Everytown for Gun Safety, affiliated with Mike Bloomberg, ranks New York as the second-best state in the nation for gun laws and calls the state an “innovator” in gun control.

Gun controls include universal background checks, a ban on “assault weapons,” red flag laws, and a ban on “high-capacity” magazines.
