Fort Worth Police Officer Jimmy Polozani told reporters Tuesday that the area around the hotel remains cordoned off as authorities investigate the cause of the explosion.

“This is considered the actual immediate hot zone,” Polozani said. “We are asking the community to stay away from this area.”

At least 21 people were injured in Monday's explosion, with one person in critical condition.

Polozani said no one had been found in the rubble as of Tuesday morning and there was no update on the condition of the injured.

“Early reports indicated that the explosion may have occurred in a restaurant under construction, but we are not 100% sure if the explosion actually started there,” Trojak said. Ta.
