On Friday morning, transportation officials issued an update saying crews were making repairs to the train that derailed on Thursday.

The passenger train collided with a stopped train and ran off the tracks. At least 26 people suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Investigators said workers were resetting the code on a suspended train when it suddenly started moving. This led to a collision.

There were about 300 people on board the passenger train. Eventually everyone was evacuated.

The derailment caused significant delays during Friday morning's rush hour.

The NTSB and local authorities are investigating the incident.

Officials said once repairs are complete, the tracks will be inspected before train service resumes.
