In Chicago, where Mayor Brandon Johnson (Democrat) presides, at least 41 people were shot over the memorial weekend, nine of them fatally.
Breitbart News reported that 10 people were shot in Chicago on the first night of the holiday weekend, with two of them dying from their injuries.
At least 31 people had been shot by Sunday night, bringing the weekend shooting death toll to five.
One of the people killed in the shooting was a 5-year-old girl who was sitting in the back seat of a car. FOX 32 I got it. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the 5-year-old’s killer.
On Tuesday morning after the Memorial Weekend, ABC 7 It pointed out The total number of people killed in shootings over the weekend has risen to nine.
One of the additional shooting deaths was discovered at 6:02 a.m. on Memorial Day morning in the 1400 block of Sacramento Avenue, where police found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The man later died in hospital.
Approximately two and a half hours later, a 43-year-old man was fatally shot in the “8000 block of Stewart Avenue in West Chatham.”
At around 5 p.m. Monday, a 23-year-old man was shot by someone in a vehicle near the road in the 3100 block of West Carmen Avenue in the Albany Park area, sustaining serious injuries. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
