At Least 600 Venezuelan Gang Members Now Living in U.S.

At least 600 Venezuelans associated with the Torren de Aragua gang have been arrested after nearly four years of border policies by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, according to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data. It has been revealed that immigrants are now living all over the United States. We welcomed millions of immigrants into American communities.

DHS data, captured and published More than 600 members of the Torren de Aragua gang, all from Venezuela, currently live in 15 states and possibly eight more states, according to NBC News. But experts said that estimate was “worryingly low”.

Experts suggested that the actual total number of Torren de Aragua gang members living in the United States is probably much higher. Experts said DHS does not know whether the migrants arriving at the southern border have ties to Torren de Aragua because the Venezuelan government does not share crime data.

DHS has asked that about 100 of the 600 Torren de Aragua gang members be considered “persons of interest” and added to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) watch list.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested more than 100 Torren de Aragua gang members on criminal charges since October 2022, and 75 more have been arrested for violating federal immigration law. Approximately 20 of these gang members were referred to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for prosecution.

Despite the growing presence of Torren de Aragua gang members in the United States, fewer than 30 are currently in ICE custody, with several others in local law enforcement custody has been done.

“Officials said that ICE may not know their whereabouts, or that their ties to the TDA or crime may not be confirmed, or that arresting them would interfere with an ongoing criminal investigation.” NBC News reported.

In the analysis Found Biden and Harris' extensive catch-and-release network at the southern border has helped push illegal immigration from Venezuela to record levels. Earlier this year, Venezuelans were the second most frequently encountered migrants at the border.

Through the Biden-Harris administration's CHNV program, a parole pipeline that allows immigrants to fly to the United States and receive humanitarian parole; Over 120,000 Venezuelans arrived in American communities that otherwise would have had no basis for living in the United States.

It is unclear how many of the 600 Torren de Aragua gang members identified by DHS have been released into U.S. soil by the Biden-Harris administration.
