Moment The final round came to Par 5 14th HallRory Mcilroy again choked a tee shot on the eucalyptus tree on the Dogleg corner and found some of the fairways that no one else could reach. From there, Mcilroy launched seven irons in green -his performance partner Sepp Straka hit 7 -wood -he drained 26 footer for eagle 3.
In this almighty par 5, his eagle extended the lead to four holes and secured the title. No one could catch Makiroy, everyone knew it, and made the last hour peaceful for the North Ireland. He had to avoid the Pacific Ocean, which made it easier on the way to 6 under 66.
“For many different reasons, it was a wonderful week that I played a sypress for the first time, and obtained a clear victory,” said Mciloy.
“I couldn't want a better start during the PGA Tour Season. I have been in a wonderful shape since last fall. I did a really good golf and continued this year.”
