Attorney General Pam Bondi mishandled the Epstein documents, according to Susie Wiles.

Susie Wiles, the Chief of Staff at the White House, criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s initial response regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case during a recent interview. She mentioned that Bondi “completely missed the mark.” This statement came out on Tuesday and has garnered attention.

On February 27, the Trump administration presented a binder labeled “Epstein Files: Phase 1” to a group of notable conservatives at the White House. This folder was subsequently displayed to the press. But, interestingly, it didn’t contain anything significant. Instead, it merely included a portion of Epstein’s phone book—a list that lacked any real context or important details.

Wiles, during her conversation with author Chris Whipple for Vanity Fair, pointed out that Bondi overlooked the key audience that was keen on this topic. Wiles stated, “First she gave them a blank binder, and she said there was either a witness list or a client list on her desk. There was no client list, and it definitely wasn’t on her desk.” This comment followed Bondi’s remarks made on February 21 during a Fox News interview, where she mentioned that a supposed list of Epstein’s “clients” was up for review on her desk.

Several months later, on July 6, a memo from the FBI and the Justice Department revealed that Epstein did not maintain a list of high-profile individuals involved in the abuse of minors, dispelling widespread speculation.

Wiles made these critical comments during one of Trump’s eleven interviews in his first year in office. Whipple, the interviewer, is known for his book “The Gatekeepers” focusing on White House chiefs of staff, along with works detailing presidential campaigns and biographies.
