Auburn cheeleader knocks down Oklahoma player running onto field while performing stunts

Oklahoma's Saturday afternoon didn't get off to the best of starts, but neither did Auburn's cheerleading program.

The 21st-ranked Sooners are scheduled to play the Tigers on Saturday in an SEC matchup, but there was a major clash well before the game began.

On Saturday, while the Sooners were at the game, Auburn cheerleaders decided it was a good time to do a stunt.

The cheerleaders back handsprung through the Sooners line and somehow managed to avoid just about everyone…almost.

Near the 10-yard line, the cheerleaders flipped to the right to face defensive back Makari Vickers.

Both Vickers and the cheerleaders quickly stood up.

Vickers is in his second season in college and appeared in eight games for Oklahoma in the Big 12 last year, but missed four games due to injury.

The sophomore was ranked in the consensus top 125 nationally coming out of high school and was ranked No. 81 nationally by Rivals.

Quarterback Michael Hawkins rushed home 48 yards to give the Sooners the lead. But Auburn responded with two touchdowns in the second quarter.

Peyton Thorne scored a 31-yard touchdown off KeAndre Lambert-Smith to tie the game. Then, after forcing Oklahoma into three consecutive punts, Thorne threw another long touchdown, this one to Malcolm Simmons for 48 yards.

The unranked Tigers led Oklahoma 14-7 at halftime. Auburn was forced to punt five consecutive times after Oklahoma's touchdown.

The Sooners lost at home to Tennessee, which is currently ranked No. 5 in the nation. They need to bounce back to carry momentum into next week's matchup with No. 1 Texas.
