Author of Report Critical of Transgender ‘Medicine’ Facing Security Threats

The author of a major report detailing the risks transgender medical practices pose to children has said he was told to avoid public transport due to safety concerns.

Dr Hilary Cass, former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, said: Said the times of london She claimed she was facing abuse and intimidation after publishing a report into the impact of Britain’s transgender “medical care” on children.

“In accordance with safety recommendations, I am not taking public transportation at this time. It is inconvenient,” Dr. Kass said.

She went on to say that many of her critics, including the left-wing Labor MP Dawn Butler, who claimed in the House of Commons that “more than 100 studies were not included in this Cuss report”, had called the damning report “misinformation. ” was accused of spreading the word. .

Kass called Butler’s claims “completely false” and explained that the list of studies Butler cited “has no bearing whatsoever on our report or paper.”

“If you’re deliberately trying to undermine a report that examines the medical evidence for a child, that’s unacceptable. By doing that, you’re putting children at risk,” she said. added.

The top pediatrician claims in a 388-page report that transgender medical practice is “built on shaky foundations” and that the National Health Service is not allowing people under the age of 18 to block puberty. This infuriated the far left, who said the drug should not be provided.

In contrast to the position of the radical left, which calls for so-called “gender-affirming care” in which young people are given life-changing medications and surgeries, there is no evidence to support claims that puberty-blocking drugs helped children. Almost none, Kass said. Regarding “mental or psychosocial health,” the long-term effects of such treatment on “cognitive and psychosexual development” have not been adequately investigated.

The report also points out that many children naturally outgrow the experience of a transgender identity, as “for most young people, the medical pathway is not the best way to manage gender-related distress.” “Extreme caution should be taken,” medical experts said. ” is about how to treat children with symptoms of gender dysphoria.

Britain’s National Health Service announced last month that it would stop routinely administering puberty-blocking drugs to most children. But there are concerns about loopholes that could allow activist doctors to still provide life-changing drugs to children.

Health Secretary Victoria Atkins said this week that the government would consider sacking health professionals who try to subvert the rules, adding: “We will look into what we can do to rein in loopholes and prescribing practices, including legislative options. We are carefully considering closing it.” There are no issues and we will report to the House in due course. ”

Commenting on the threats allegedly sent to Dr Cass: Harry potter JK Rowling, author and critic of the transgender movement I have written: “‘Follow the money’ may be a conspiracy theorist’s cliché, and I hate the cliche ‘sink it,’ but when a respected pediatrician is advised not to travel by bus or a lobbying group… In a medical review, both may appear to be true when a patient goes out of his way to discredit a scrupulous pediatrician.
