An autograph seeker was furious with Jason Kelce after the former NFL center and ESPN personality walked past him without signing an autograph while filming an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Thursday night.
Video obtained by TMZ Bizarre footage shows several autograph seekers waiting for Kelsey at the back of a Hollywood studio, and when Kelsey doesn't stop to sign one, one snaps.
“You're not special!” a man can be heard shouting at the beginning of the video. “You're an asshole who thinks you're on a pedestal!”
The person continued to yell at Kelsey that he was angry at her “attitude” and then yelled, “There's death on this damn street two blocks away and you're being treated unfairly.”
Kelce tried to explain that he doesn't sign autographs for “people who follow me wherever I go.”
But that didn't seem to satisfy the belligerent autograph seeker, who continued to taunt Kelce, calling the Super Bowl champion a “punk fk” and saying, “I'll take him any time.”
Kelce, 37, managed to de-escalate the situation by getting out of his car, signing autographs for onlookers and shaking hands with the man who was yelling obscenities at him.
“I'll sign it,” I heard Kelce say, trying to calm the situation down.
When the former Eagles star began his contract, the man seemed to change his tune.
The man who asked for the signature cried out that he was “ashamed of that moment” and demanded that no one post the video of his outburst.
After the man continued to apologize, Kelce said, “I feel how you feel and I appreciate it.”
It was a far cry from an incident earlier this month at Penn State in which Kelce slammed a phone call from a fan who called Kelce's brother Travis an anti-gay slur.
Kelce expressed remorse for the incident in an apology days later on Monday Night Countdown.
