‘Back in Action’ star Jamie Foxx gives one-man show about mysterious health scare

Jamie Foxx opened up about his mysterious health scare during his solo show in Atlanta.

Foxx, 56, took the stage for the first time since his health scare on “One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx.”

“God is good….As I post these photos, my heart and soul are filled with nothing but pure joy…On October 3rd and 5th, I will be sharing my side of the story. “There was no better place than Atlanta,” the “Django Unchained” actor wrote on Monday. Instagram.

“When people ask me if this is a stand-up comedy show, I say no. It's an artistic description. It's been a tough time, but thanks to the amazing people in Atlanta, especially Piedmont Hospital, I was able to come back and stand on stage and do what I love to do the most…” he added.

Representatives for Foxx did not respond to Fox News Digital's immediate request for comment.

In July, the Oscar-winning actor spoke to concerned fans outside a restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, where he tried to answer what happened during his appearance. He suffered from “medical complications.”

“You know, last April 11, I had a really bad headache and I asked my son for an Advil,” Fox said, snapping his fingers. “I was away for 20 days.”

“I don't remember anything,” Jamie told fans at the restaurant. “So they told me, I'm in Atlanta. They told me and my sister and daughter to take me to the first doctor and they said… 'No.' I had a cortisone injection.

“The next doctor said, 'There's something going on over there,' which I won't say on camera, but…” Fox said, nodding thoughtfully.

Corinne Fox revealed on April 12, 2023 that her father is recovering from complications.

“Fortunately, thanks to quick action and extreme care, he is already on the road to recovery,” she wrote on social media at the time. “We know how much he is loved and appreciate your prayers. The family requests that their privacy be respected during this time.”

Fox has not yet disclosed the medical condition he suffered from.

According to IMDb, the Grammy winner has eight upcoming projects lined up and finished filming Back in Action last year after production was halted due to a health scare.

At the time, filming continued on Kagemusha until Fox returned to set.

This movie also marks Cameron Diaz's return to the silver screen After her last leading role in 2014, she co-starred with Foxx in Annie.
