Backlash Arises against LGBT Content in Netflix’s ‘CoComelon Lane’ for Kids

A popular Netflix series aimed at preschoolers has sparked a backlash among some families over its inclusion of LGBT characters and content.

Cocomelon Laneis rated TV-Y and follows the lives of young children and their families as they learn about the world around them. In the episode called “Just Be Me” (Episode 8), a little boy tries on different costumes. “There are so many outfits to choose from!” — before donning a tiara and tutu, with encouragement from her two dads. One of the fathers sings, “When you can't decide, think about all the things you want to do. Just be who you are.”

One of the fathers told him: “We believe that looking beautiful means being who you are.”

Then the little boy wears a tiara and tutu and dances.

Social media channel End Wokeness posted a clip from the show on X (formerly Twitter) on December 20th. He reached 15.4 million views. Some commentators claimed that the series promoted transgenderism.

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh posted the video to his account, writing, “Netflix needs a full Bud Light response to this.”

Will Hild, Executive Director, Consumers' Research Said This series on Fox News Digital appears to encourage cross-dressing.

“They injected the woke political agenda of the far left in a way that was frankly disgusting,” Hild said.

plug in report The series “features sweet and loving moments between children and their parents aimed at promoting quality time, kind interactions, and social-emotional awareness.” Plugged In also warned about its contents.

'Parents should be aware that the show contains homosexual content,' says Plug-in Review Said. “For example, there are two gay fathers on the show, and they also appear in the series' opening song, standing and singing together. Additionally, the two fathers' sons appear in one of the episodes. I wear a tiara and tutu in the club.”

Nine episodes are available on Netflix.
