Bagel Shop That Hosted JD Vance Defaced With Badly Written Graffiti

Vandalism at Golden Bagels

A bagel shop visited by Vice President JD Vance in July was vandalized with political graffiti, according to a recent Reddit post. The message, which contained several spelling mistakes, was spray-painted on the establishment.

In the video shared on Reddit, Vance can be seen at Golden Bagels in San Diego. The post, titled “08/05: Tagging someone visited by Bagel Shop JD Vance,” included an image of the graffiti that read, “Facists & Collabor are not welcome in PQ.”

The Reddit user who posted the image mentioned that vandals also targeted a nearby home. They wrote, “Last night, someone tagged a bagel shop JD Vance visited last month, and it’s said that they also tagged several homes.” It’s a bit unsettling, really, how such actions can spill over into neighborhoods, isn’t it?

On a related note, similar incidents have occurred elsewhere. In April, climate activists spray-painted inside Trump Tower, leaving a message near the president’s insignia before being apprehended. And it seems the trend continues, with anti-Trump slogans appearing on bridges and political headquarters in various locations.

The blend of political expression and vandalism raises questions about the methods people use to voice their opinions. For instance, targeting a Republican headquarters in Manassas saw the word “Fash” sprayed on windows, alongside other acts of defacement. It’s definitely provocative, although whether it’s effective is another matter entirely.
