Fox News anchor Bret Baier responded Monday to a question about his scheduled interview with Vice President Harris, suggesting that if edits were needed, they would only be done for “timing.”
“There were no prerequisites for being interviewed,” Baier said. Reply to another user “There's no one you can ask questions in advance except for me. No topics are off the table.”
“If there were any edits, they would be minimal timing-wise and would be the same editorial questions and answers,” he wrote, adding, “The interview was pre-released just before my show in Pennsylvania on Wednesday. I'm recording it,” he added.

Her comments came after the network announced Monday that Harris had agreed to appear on “Special Report,” after her first-ever sit-down with the network just weeks before Election Day. Ta.
In recent days, the Democratic presidential candidate has participated in a series of interviews with key voting blocs as the election approaches. A media blitz that included both traditional and non-traditional news outlets showcased her all-the-above approach to appealing to voters.
Harris flipped the script on Trump after weeks of criticism from Republicans and supporters of former President Donald Trump. The campaign accused the former president of avoiding mainstream interviews.
The vice president's decision to join Fox News also follows an invitation from the network to host the second debate between presidential candidates. President Trump has rebuffed pressure from Democratic candidates to hold a second debate since the first in September, and appeared to permanently close the door last week.
With just a few weeks left until Election Day, Ms. Harris has a narrow lead over Mr. Trump, 49.8% to 46.9%, according to Hill/Decision Desk's polling index.
