FOX News anchor Bret Beyer said on thursday During an interview with Vice President Harris on Wednesday, he claimed it was a “mistake” not to include certain footage of former President Trump.
During an interview with the vice president on Fox News' “Special Report” the day before, Harris and Baier got into an argument over a clip about former President Trump's “enemy from within” remark about his rival.
Baier showed footage from City Hall broadcast earlier in the day on Fox News' “Faulkner Focus,” in which Trump said he was “not threatening anyone.”
“That footage was not what he was saying from the inside about the enemy. … That's not what you just showed,” Harris told the Fox News anchor. “You didn't show it. And here's the point: He's said it over and over again, you and I know it, and you and I know he's telling the American people I know you talked about directing.
Baier said on Thursday's “Special Report” that he “made a mistake” regarding the clip shown in the interview.
“I would like to say I made a mistake,” Baier said in a clip that was also featured by Fox News' Harris Faulkner and featured by Mediaite. “When I asked for a soundbite, I tied the 'enemy from within' part from Maria Bartiromo's interview to the Harris Town Hall part where you asked the former president about the 'enemy from within.' I expected it to be within. '”
In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News' “Sunday Morning Futures” last weekend, President Trump dismissed President Biden's concerns that Election Day would not be peaceful, saying, “The bigger problem is coming from within. “We are the enemy, not even the people,” he said. They invaded and destroyed our country. ”
“I think the bigger problem is the people inside,” Trump said. “We have some very bad people. We have sick people and radical left-wing lunatics.”
