Bailey, Scott Baio’s daughter, joins the Providence golf team.

Actor Scott Baio celebrated a “proud father moment” this week as his daughter Bailey committed to playing Division I golf at Providence University.

Both Scott and Bailey, who are junior golfers at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, announced the news on social media.

“A proud father moment. Division 1 of the Big East Conference,” Scott, 64, posted on X, sharing pictures of Providence College along with 17-year-old Bailey.

In another post, Scott uploaded a photo of Bailey at the airport by a sign that said “Welcome to Friartown.”

“This has been a goal for years,” wrote Bailey, who graduates in 2026, on her Instagram. “I want to thank God and my parents first.”

She also expressed gratitude toward her coach and the brand she represented as a junior ambassador, including Laura Sports and In-N-Out Burger.

Bailey acknowledged the other schools that showed interest in her but didn’t go into details about them.

Scott, known for his support of Donald Trump, responded to someone on X, sharing that Bailey “plays golf with Trump” and noted Kai Trump, Donald’s granddaughter, who has commitments to the University of Miami.

“They’re both in the class of 2026 but participate in various events,” he commented.

Bailey looks up to Kai. In March, she shared a heartfelt video aimed at Kai after experiencing bullying at a junior girls’ golf event, assuring her of her support.

Bailey invited her Instagram followers to help spread the video to reach Kai.

She started golfing at just 3 and a half years old and began competing in tournaments by age 8. Her profile is featured on a recruitment site for aspiring college athletes.

“My dad took me to the course, and I started playing. I hit the ball and played in a sand trap,” she recalled. “A few months later, I was hitting the ball pretty well for a 4-year-old.”

She mentioned that she and her family moved from California to Florida to attend IMG and work toward her dream of becoming a professional golfer.

Bailey also shared that she has ADHD and dyslexia.
