A 7-year-old girl was hospitalized Saturday after being shot at a mall in Baltimore.
Baltimore police said the girl was shot and killed Saturday afternoon at Mondawmin Mall. Police said two groups got into an argument at the mall, and an unidentified man, who was fleeing the scene, fired a gun, hitting the girl in the upper body.
Officials said the girl was at the mall with her mother and was not the intended victim.

She was taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was listed in serious but stable condition Saturday evening, police said.

Authorities were searching for the suspect Sunday.
In December, a man delivering packages at a shopping mall was shot in the ankle after being caught between two groups of boys who were shooting each other in the mall’s parking lot.
