Bandit arrested for nine grand larceny pattern in NYC

According to police sources, Bougie Bandit has been arrested for stealing $20,000 in booty from a high-end NYC boutique over the past five months.

Jeffrey Gonzalez, who made 76 arrests on his record, is allegedly stole fashion items, including an expensive coach bag, a $2,300 Falconeri coat and a $3,400 acne studio jacket.

His most amazing robbery, the 48-year-old, was reportedly strolled at the Zadigvoltaire boutique on Washington Street in the Meatpacking district on February 3rd, and quickly stripped his clothes from the dummy.

“He evacuated the mannequin,” the source said.

He ran for a total of $1,296 with a bag worth $498 and a Liston leather jacket worth $798, sources said.

Gonzalez was suspected of nine robbery patterns that began on December 20th when he stepped into the Falconeri Shop on Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron area and swiped through a vest in a jacket worth $2,300 and a vest right next to a rack.

He then took a walk to a coaching store on Soho’s Prince Street on Jan. 27, and removed bags worth $1,650, officials said.

The following month he was said to have picked up the pace, slammed the acne studio in West Village and grabbed a $3,400 coat. He also reportedly stole around $3,000 in the shades of Prada and other designers from two Soho sunglasses sheds, officials said.

He stepped into the Gucci store at One World Trade Center on March 25th, stole a handbag that sold nearly $4,000 and a silk twill scarf worth $240.

Finally, on April 13th, Gonzalez entered the Moschino store on Worcester Street, Soho, along with her female accomplice. The woman ran out of the store, but Gonzalez was caught with a wallet worth $2,145 and was arrested, officials said.

He is in Rikers Island prison on $15,000 bail for three major thefts, city records show.

Retail theft has dropped by 8% so far this year, according to NYPD data as of April 13th.
