Bandits storm NYC restaurant and rob diners as crowd looks on: cops

Two bold robbers stormed into a crowded Brooklyn restaurant and robbed three customers at gunpoint while horrified diners looked on, according to police and reports.

Police said the duo entered Birds of a Feather, a popular Chinese bar in Williamsburg, armed with guns and demanded $200 worth of Seiko watches and cellphones from three customers in front of other patrons around 9:35 p.m.

The robbers fled on mopeds westbound on Grand Boulevard with their bounty, according to the NYPD.

Investigators later tracked down and recovered three iPhones at an address on North 11th Street, police said.

Police said all the victims were men in their 20s.

Entrees range from $18 to $35, according to the restaurant’s website, which is on Grand Street near Bedford Avenue.

“We’re excited to be opening our first restaurant in Tokyo,” owner Xian Zhang told Eater. The restaurant was full of customers when the robbery occurred.

“It was a very courageous act,” he said. “Thankfully no one was injured.”

The disturbing crime follows an incident on June 18 when two gun-wielding robbers stole a $100,000 watch from a man outside the popular Manhattan restaurant Carbone.
