New film director Matthew Taylor Government Gangster, talked Breitbart News Saturday Former White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon spoke about the film, which is set to premiere at the Republican National Convention, the significance of it premiering while he was in prison, and how “Soviet-style” the film is.
Taylor said the film will focus on how “agency heads” worked together to attack former President Donald Trump during his first presidential run and his time in office. The film is based on a book written by Kash Patel, a former senior Trump administration official. Gangsters in Government: The Deep State, Truth, and the Fight for Democracyand is being released by War Room FilmsIt is a subsidiary of Bannon. War Room.
“Government Gangsters is a 64-minute film that basically tells the story of how various department heads, and of course the intelligence agencies, conspired to attack presidential candidates, civilians, and ultimately harass a sitting president throughout his four years in office,” Taylor explained. “It basically tells the story of who they were, what they did, and how they did it.”
“We cover everything from Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, Russiagate, the first impeachment, Hunter Biden’s laptop and the documents case that Merrick Garland is currently working on. We cover the FBI, the CIA, the Department of Justice. The point is, these people have always been active, they’ve always been doing something, and they’ve been doing it for decades. This time, they’ve been caught, and of course they’ve been caught by Kash Patel, who is based on his fantastic book,” Taylor added.
“What we’re trying to do is provide this information to the public and bring accountability back, because there are a lot of good government officials out there, but they’re the heads of departments. They’re the ones making the decisions. They’ve been there for 30 years and they’ve done all kinds of despicable things,” Taylor continued.
When asked about the “significance” of Bannon’s involvement in the film, he noted that the same “government gangsters” had just sentenced Bannon to four months in prison for failing to comply with a subpoena from a Democratic-run select committee on January 6th, and that the film would be “released” while Bannon is currently in prison.
“Steve is a patriot and he has always worked towards the goal of achieving what the Founding Fathers envisioned. What’s really interesting about this scenario that’s happening is that this is very Soviet. This is not American at all. This is targeting people in politics,” Taylor added. “I’ve been in politics for 20 years and I’ve never seen a scenario where these agencies can target people, private citizens. He’s not an office-holder, he’s not under those jurisdictions. He’s a private citizen with opinions just like anybody else in this country. What this shows is that these government gangsters can get you if they don’t like you. And if they can get Steve, they can get anybody.”
