Barbara Corcoran Opens Up About Cosmetic Procedures
Entrepreneur and TV personality Barbara Corcoran has been quite candid lately about her approach to aging. She recently took to Instagram to share a detailed account of the aesthetic procedures she has undergone, from significant surgeries to more subtle enhancements.
Alongside a photo, Corcoran listed her various procedures, which include:
- Three facelifts
- Eyelift
- Neck lift
- Brow lift
- Lower eyelid skin pinch
- Filler treatments four times a year
- Professional teeth whitening
- Fractional C02 Laser treatment once a year
- Fractional 1550 Laser treatment annually
- Clear and gorgeous laser treatment twice a year
- Home haircuts and coloring every six weeks
- Monthly eyebrow lifts
Corcoran’s transparency aligns with a growing trend of women being open about cosmetic procedures aimed at preserving a youthful appearance. Dr. Anthony Berlett, a plastic surgeon in Manhattan who hasn’t treated Corcoran, noted that the array of work she has undergone is “very reasonable” for her age, emphasizing that she handles it without overdoing it. He stated that modern procedures can refresh a person’s look without altering their natural identity significantly.
Dr. David Shoklian, another board-certified cosmetic surgeon, echoed these sentiments. He pointed out that consistent maintenance is key to achieving a natural look rather than waiting for dramatic interventions later on. Corcoran’s approach highlights that ongoing investment in one’s appearance can boost confidence as one ages.
Interestingly, Dr. Samuel Lynn, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, commented on the longevity of cosmetic procedures. He mentioned that while a facelift can “reset” the age clock, aging will inevitably continue due to factors like gravity and time. The effectiveness of such procedures can vary based on individual characteristics such as skin tone.
Lynn added that, on average, the effects of facial lifting might last about seven to eight years, depending on the patient. He noted some might opt for treatments sooner or later based on personal preferences and the areas being treated. He emphasized that supplementary skin treatments, like chemical peels and laser therapies, can also be beneficial.
