“What an idiot.” Ask a question about Ozempic on Instagram?
On Monday, Barbra Streisand came under fire for asking actress Melissa McCarthy in an Instagram comment if she uses Ozempic to lose weight.
The Bridesmaids star, 53, shared an image of her and choreographer Adam Shankman on a merry-go-round outside the Center Theater Group Gala, in which she sported plenty of tulle. She wore a pastel green blazer over a dress of the same color.
“I used pastels just to honor the amazing @matthewbourne13 who joined this pal @adamshankman at last night’s @ctgla gala!! Now I’m so much closer to my dream of dancing on stage 💃🏻💚 ” she said. I added a caption to the image.
The “Funny Girl” star, 82, replied in the comments: “Thank you, did you take Ozempic with you?”
Streisand eventually deleted her question, but not before users could add their own comments for consideration.
“Babs. No, honey. Just, no,” one follower replied.
“Baby boomer lady whose energy goes to wine and iPads,” joked another.
“Just like my old mom would tell me she was texting someone something, and Baby is typing on IG and I’m like, ‘No, mom, I’m going to put the FB on the wall for everyone to see. 😂😂,” another post added.

However, others defended Streisand from the criticism, pointing out that she would “never” try to embarrass McCarthy.
“I think she meant it as a private question. Can someone please show her some kindness!!” one Streisand follower wrote.
“Babs’ height is 82🤷🏽♀️ So-so for the course. Older guys don’t know how techniques work and don’t take free kicks,” added another.
The “Gilmore Girls” alum did not respond to Streisand’s comments.
McCarthy has been candid about her yo-yo weight for years, previously saying she was “every size on the planet.” The comedian once lost 70 pounds by switching to an all-liquid diet, but says he won’t do it “again.”
In 2015, she changed her mindset to become less obsessed with her body shape and lost 50 pounds.
“I really stopped worrying,” she said. told Life & Style at that time.
“I think just stopping being so nervous and stubborn and relaxing a little bit worked out in a weird way.”
