Naked Cyclists Protest ICE in Portland

In Portland, Oregon, a group of audacious cyclists took to a new form of protest against ICE, stirring quite a scene. On a particularly rainy Sunday, a number of naked bikers flocked to the city’s immigration detention center, blasting music and shouting defiantly, with some exclaiming “F—ICE” and gesturing provocatively towards federal agents, as seen in footage shared online.

Some of the protesters had messages inscribed on their bare skin, such as “There is no king” and “Humans are illegal.” A few federal agents observed the scene from a rooftop, with at least two capturing images of the spectacle on their phones.

This event stands out starkly from typical anti-ICE protests in the area, many of which have turned violent over recent months. Interestingly, the usual Antifa members, who often dress in black to obscure their identities, were notably absent.

Online reactions varied widely, from anger to derision. Conservative commentator Robbie Starbuck expressed strong opinions, suggesting that public nudity where children might be present is inappropriate and indicative of deeper issues.

Comments from others, like Turning Point USA President Andrew Corbett, highlighted the bizarre dynamics at play, drawing attention to a perceived rise in audacity among illegal immigrants as they advocate for their rights.

Despite this unusual protest, the backdrop of ongoing conflict in the city remains unsettling. Far-left groups have been clashing with federal law enforcement nearly every night, which has led to escalating violence. Just a few months back, violent protests included fireworks and rocks thrown at officials at the facility.

Adding to the turmoil, a Portland Police overview pointed out that the recent protests have led to increased calls for police and medical help. In September, a guillotine was even rolled out during a protest, injuring several federal employees.

Through all this chaos, one sergeant remarked that some individuals continue to antagonize police, despite repeated warnings to steer clear of violent crowds. This ongoing cycle of conflict paints a complex picture of activism, law enforcement, and community unrest in the city.
