Ben Affleck shared the “strange” reason why the FBI visited his home amid the Palisade fire earlier this year.
FBI agents were filmed outside Affleck's home in January, and the “Argo” star revealed that he wasn't even home at the time. Affleck only learned about the visit through media headlines.
“The FBI actually visited my house after all.” I told GQ With the April cover issue. “But this is pretty obvious, right? So I go home and see a story with a source saying, 'Hey, the FBI was in your home.' I was like, “Well, this is weird,” so I called them and said, “Hey, FBI, are you at my house?” “Oh, we don't know.” I was finally, what was actually going on. A federal employee's home invasion was found in the area. ”
“So the FBI went around and the people who lived there, the FBI rang their bells, but the photographer was sitting outside and these guys were wearing FBI jackets, so the FBI visited your home.”

However, Affleck pointed out that after tracking down the real story, he was told something different.
“Everyone who wrote the story has created something about how it relates to research on a drone that I think hit one of the two or three miles of Mandeville Canyon helicopters,” he explained to the outlet. “After all, no, it wasn't that about that. In fact, we were very far from where the drone is. So you've seen this event in my house about the FBI. I didn't know. My only involvement was tracking it and getting it.”
