‘Be Funnier Dumb*ss’: Caitlin Clark Dunks On ‘SNL’ Castmember

Iowa women’s basketball star point guard Caitlin Clark turns the tables on “Saturday Night Live” performer Michael Che with a sarcastic shot back on Saturday’s “Weekend Update” segment. I let it happen.

Clark appeared to give Choi a taste of his own medicine, as the “Weekend Update” co-host had previously disparaged women’s sports, especially women’s basketball. His co-host Colin Jost was often the target of Che’s on-air comedy and even played a highlight reel of Che’s most brutal takedowns in the WNBA.

“Many sports bars across the country have pledged to only show women’s basketball games during March Madness. The bars are collectively known as ’empty bars,'” Choi previously joked. (Interesting in my humble opinion).

Choi pretended to be embarrassed by the roast’s editing, claiming he was only joking and admitting he could never match Clark’s basketball skills.

“Yes, we do,” she replied. “And obviously, I can’t tell jokes like you. But I also wrote some jokes. And if you read some of them, it would mean a lot to me.” Sho.”

Che read out a series of apparently comical burns that Clark allegedly wrote.

“The Indiana Fever has the No. 1 pick in this Monday’s draft, but this is a WNBA team, not the one Michael Che gave to dozens of Purdue women’s players. It reminds me of that.”

Ha! It is wonderful.

“Did you really write this yourself?” Choi asked.

“Yes,” Clark replied.

Now, given SNL’s large writing team and the fact that Jost and Che have curtailed the practice of writing embarrassing jokes about each other to make the other an art form, I happen to be very skeptical of that. is. But no matter what, this segment is still entertaining.

Clark had more jokes.

“Netflix’s top show is ‘Ripley,’ which features a creepy and unsettling performance from actor Andrew Scott. Critics say it’s the hardest show to watch on Netflix since the Michael Che special ‘Shame the Devil.’ He says it’s a work of art. ”

Another sick burn. His life’s work is to insult men’s carotid arteries. But she’ll save the kill shot for last. (Related: Legendary women’s college basketball players make the ultimate history)

“Caitlin Clark broke the single-season three-point shooting record this year, and I have Michael Che’s three-point shooting record.

First: “Naru”.

2: “More interesting”

Third: “Idiot.” ”

wonderful. The segment was great, but then Clark went on a bizarre rant about former WNBA players who paved the way before him, simply listing off the names of numerous WNBA players. She may have been trying to smooth things over after many WNBA stars such as Diana Taurasidecided to start criticizing her seemingly for no reason.

In my opinion, she should ignore the noise and let those women do the talking. They’re just jealous that she’s actually getting the attention they never received. But instead, she inserted 20 seconds of unfunny chit-chat into an otherwise hilarious segment. Two steps forward, one step back.
