“Benjamin, I love you, but that’s not what I said!” replied Jefferson, a 17-year NBA veteran.

Embiid, the Sixers’ star center, was at the center of Knicks fan ire during the series for his increasingly physical play — he was called for a flagrant foul for grabbing Mitchell Robinson’s ankle in Game 3. – And he made 59 free throws through four games, his best performance in the playoffs.

He soon became a major villain in New York, led by Stiller and others.

“I respect Richard. But Embiid gets so many calls,” Stiller shot back. “And that reference was to one foul committed by Batum.”

He added that Embiid “should have been ejected because he grabbed Mitch’s ankle.”

Mitchell was injured while playing and left Game 3 and missed Game 4.

Jefferson retorted, “I haven’t played that game, but I agree with you,” and went on to provide Stiller with some feedback.

“So, you were mentioning when we thought it was on Embiid, but it was on Batum that the video and REFS were showing and we fixed it, and Did you care about that?” jefferson wroteadded a GIF of Stiller from “Anchorman.”

“P.S. He gets a lot of calls, as the current MVP often does.”
