A Pennsylvania man attacked and fatally stabbed his girlfriend because he didn't like her new hairstyle, police said.
Benjamin Garcia Gual was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with murder after allegedly cornering Carmen Martinez Silva at his brother's home in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County authorities said.
According to court documents, the victim's daughter told police that Goual, 49, allegedly stabbed his 50-year-old girlfriend with a knife because he was angry that she had cut her hair. PennLive reported.
She told investigators that Martinez-Silva threatened to stab her mother about it and forced her to stay overnight at her daughter's house.
After leaving her daughter's house, Martinez-Silva stopped by her brother's house to ask another friend to tell Gual that their relationship was over, the probable cause affidavit states. are.
Gual could not be found at the mobile home and instead went to Martinez Silva's brother's house to talk to his girlfriend.
The brother initially told the suspect he wasn't there, but when he returned a second time a few minutes later, he began stabbing him, police said.
When Martinez-Silva intervened, her mistress became enraged and began attacking her, according to the affidavit.
Martinez Silva was found dead by officers at the scene, and his brother had suffered multiple stab wounds. Two other people trying to break up the stabbing were also nearly stabbed by the suspect, authorities said.

Police found Gual still at the scene in his car, “with a knife in his hand” and blood stains on the weapon, the report said.
He is charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. WHTM reported.
He is being held in Lancaster Jail without bail.
