YouTuber Claims Assault at Benny Hinn’s Christian Meeting
YouTuber Tyler Oliveira alleged that he and his photographer were assaulted by security at a Christian meeting featuring televangelist Benny Hinn. They were accused of being “false prophets” and “snake oil salesmen.” Oliveira discussed the incident in a video titled “I exposed America’s most corrupt churches.” He claimed to have paid $99 to attend the Spirit Life Conference last month in Chicago, where he interacted with Hinn and the World Healing Center Church, which reportedly stated they were “facing judgment.”
In his video, Oliveira captured a moment where, after Hinn concluded a prayer, he rushed to the stage. “Benny Hinn is a false prophet, a false healer, a snake oil salesman,” he exclaimed. As he confronted Hinn, security reportedly escorted him out, with Oliveira accusing the televangelist of exploiting God’s word for financial gain.

Reflecting on the incident, Oliveira mentioned his photographer’s desperate attempt to evade danger, describing chaotic actions as security tried to control the situation. “I was hit twice by a golf cart as people were being kind of rough with us,” the photographer recounted, detailing how they attempted to confiscate his camera and footage.
Benny Hinn, a notable figure in the faith movement, has made headlines before for renouncing the Prosperity Gospel, stating in 2019 that he has reevaluated his views over the years. “I think it’s wrong to ask for large sums of money in exchange for faith,” Hinn commented. He expressed regret about past fundraising tactics, emphasizing that he no longer wants his ministry to rely on such methods.
In related remarks, Stephen Strang, founder of a charismatic magazine, shared that promoting the Prosperity Gospel stands out as one of his biggest regrets in ministry, admitting it led to troubling consequences in his career. “The pressure I faced pushed me to say and do things I shouldn’t have,” he reflected, urging viewers for forgiveness as he strives for a more biblical approach in his faith journey.
