Benny Hinn Served Divorce Papers for a Second Time

Prosperity pastor Benny Hinn’s wife served him with divorce papers for the second time last month, and the couple live in separate homes in Florida. according to Church LeadersSuzanne Hinn and Benny were first married in 1979 and first filed for divorce in 2010. The couple, who have four children, remarried in 2013 at the Holyland Experience in Orlando in front of a crowd of more than 1,000 people, with the late Rev. Jack Hayford officiating.

Benny later sold DVDs of the wedding for $25 a pop.

According to reports, Trinity FoundationThe couple own four properties in Florida worth more than $5 million. Benny Hinn Ministries (formally the World Healing Center Church) is reportedly worth $100 million, but the church has faced financial difficulties and declining ratings.

After the Hinns reconciled following their first divorce, Benny confessed that Suzanne had a drug addiction and “acted strangely at times” and that she had become “so absorbed in her work as a pastor that she forgot about her family.”

During his first divorce, Benny was photographed holding hands with televangelist Paula White as they left a hotel in Rome, Italy. At the time, Benny denied the allegations that he was having an affair with White, saying that he was “just friends” with White and that their friendship had nothing to do with his first divorce.

After the photos of Hinn and White were published, Charisma Media sued Hinn for violating the morality clause of a publishing contract, but Hinn maintained he had “done nothing immoral.”

Hinn wrote in his autobiography that he first met Suzanne when she was attending Evangel University in 1978. Through his partnership with Charisma Media founder Stephen Strang, Hinn became a prominent televangelist, while Suzanne Hinn ran her own California-based ministry called “Purifying Fire” for years.
