Bernie Moreno: Sherrod Brown Is Seeking Another Senate Term Because He Lacks Other Skills

Moreno Critiques Brown’s Senate Campaign

Senator Bernie Moreno from Ohio spoke out on Thursday, suggesting that Sherrod Brown’s return to the Senate race is simply another attempt by a long-standing politician to maintain his grip on power.

During a conversation with Breitbart Fight Club’s Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle, Moreno questioned Brown’s image as a representative of the working class. He posited that many Ohio voters are unaware of Brown’s true background.

“If you ask the average Ohioan, you know, ‘tell me something about his personal life,’ they might picture him as a working-class individual, perhaps a machinist or a carpenter,” Moreno remarked.

He offered a contrast to this perception by discussing Brown’s political beginnings. “He never held a job as a kid or as an adult. He ran for office from his college dorm in Connecticut. After winning, he’s remained in elected positions ever since,” Moreno explained. “So here’s someone who hasn’t actually worked a day in his life—never really gotten his hands dirty.”

Moreno accused Brown of pretending to be a worker’s advocate while promoting policies that he feels undermine the very people he claims to support. “He dons the appropriate attire and puts on a performance, saying what we want to hear,” Moreno commented.

He criticized Brown’s stances on immigration, energy, and government spending, saying they betray his pledges to support working Americans. “You can’t express care for the workers while also allowing millions of undocumented immigrants into the country,” Moreno said. “It’s contradictory to advocate for working Americans if you support expanding government and raising taxes.”

Moreno concluded, “So honestly, he’s just a total fraud.”

Brown is currently up against Senator Jon Husted after previously losing his seat to Moreno in the 2024 election. Husted took the position following JD Vance’s assumption of the vice presidency.

When asked what Husted needs to do to prevail over Brown, Moreno described the Democrat as a “recycled old politician” who has been “pulled from the dustbin and put back on stage.”

“I remind myself that he might have to run again in 2028, which seems pretty wild,” Moreno added. “These individuals just can’t seem to give up their power once they obtain it.”

He cautioned that the race would be competitive and urged members of Breitbart Fight Club to rally behind Husted. “This is going to be a tough race,” he said. “Every single vote will make a significant difference.”
