Bernie Sanders delivers ranting speech at festival as Trump thrills UFC crowd in Florida

While President Trump thrilled the Miami crowd, Sen. Bernie Sanders spotted a more left-leaning audience at Coachella on Saturday.

The independent Vermont Senator was the surprising opening act of singer-songwriter Clayro. Sanders thanked her for speaking with the prisoner-of-war audience ahead of her long-awaited performance.

“The country faces some very difficult challenges and the future of what happens to America depends on your generation,” Sanders said at the start of his remarks to the crowds to party members at an event in Indio, California.

“We need to stand up to fight for justice. To fight for economic justice. Social justice. And racial justice respected the enthusiastic crowd.

Trump got a fierce response from the Miami crowd at the UFC 314 event, but his name was warmly unwelcome when Sanders referenced him before music fans in Blue California.

“Now we've got the President of the United States,” Sanders began before being interrupted by a loud boo voice.

“He thinks climate change is a hoax. He's dangerously wrong. You and I have to tell them to stand up to the fossil fuel industry and stop the destruction of this planet.”

Sanders also had issues such as opposition to women's rights, the “billionaire class,” embracing the inadequacy of the American healthcare industry.

“We need to stand up to insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies and understand that healthcare is a human right,” Sanders woke up.

In his speech, the 83-year-old revealed that he is a major fan of Gen-Z musician Clairo.

“I was here and I would like to thank Clairo for the great work she is doing, not only as I was a great band, but also because Clairo used her excellence to fight for women's rights and end the horrific and brutal war in Gaza, where thousands of women and children are being killed.”

Sanders is currently on a speaking tour entitled “The Battle of Oligarchy: Where to Go From Here,” bringing together Senators from Tempe, Denver and Los Angeles in Denver, California over the past three days.
